Kennebec River

Bingham is a challenging technical section of the river with Brook Trout and Landlocked Salmon but is best known for wild Rainbow Trout. With big, strong trout, it is made for drift boat fishing.

Solon is a lovely section of the Kennebec with lots of islands and little development along the shore. Solon has Brook, Brown and Rainbow Trout as well as Landlocked Salmon making it one of the only rivers in Maine with four different Samonids! We can float and wade at most levels throughout the season. Lots of wildlife, history and wildflowers make this a very popular section of the river.

Shawmut is a shorter length tail water that is a good Brown Trout fishery until the water warms in late June. It comes back to life in the fall with great hatches of small size 20-26 Blue Wing Olives.

Waterville to Sidney is a great smallmouth fishery with the possibility of a Striped Bass!

Drift boat trips on the Kennebec in both full and half day are available depending on location and conditions.
